Win a Patchwork Pirate Quilt and help support West Mersea RNLI

A local lady and expert quilter, Sheila Gray, has kindly donated a beautiful big handmade quilt to West Mersea RNLI to help save lives at sea.

The handmade quilt measures 75 x 56 inches (that’s just over 6 foot long by just under 5 foot wide) and is made from printed fabric pictures of sea creatures, pirates and their boats set in different shades and patterns of blue fabric.  It is a delight for children and adults alike.

We are selling tickets to win the quilt for just £1 each.  Tickets can be bought from the shop ‘Myrtle and Rose’ (near the West Mersea library) where the quilt is also on display.  The winner will be drawn on Saturday March 3rd at the RNLI Sea Shanty evening in the Mersea Museum.
