RNLI GUILD AGM
RNLI GUILD AGM, Thursday 6th April 2017
The West Mersea Lifeboat Guild will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 6th April at 7.30pm in the Long Room of the West Mersea Yacht Club.
The Lifeboat Guild is a wonderful group of enthusiastic people who continuously work to raise money for the RNLI. Founded back in the 1920s, the group was originally named the Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild and was a dedicated association of women (traditionally the wives of the crew) bent upon fundraising to support the work of their menfolk. We have evolved quite a bit since then, and now have women on the crew and men on The Guild.
Do come along and see what goes on; find out about our fundraising for the lifeboat and the behind-the-scenes goings-on at our station. Martin Wade, our Lifeboat Operations Manager will also be showing some film clips of our lifeboat in action. A big thank you to the West Mersea Yacht Club, for their generous hospitality. Everybody is welcome to come along.
